Hey Darabase Team!

I’m Tejas, an award-winning spatial engineer.

I would love to help Darabase in creating a stable and polished POC that reflects the vision for a strong AR ad-ecosystem. The promise of creating ad-driven monetization opportunities for any content developer or property owner is extremely interesting, and I’d love to bring my experience in Smartglasses apps (especially Snap Spectacles) to this project.

Below you can find projects most relevant to Darabase’s own goals. I take pride in pricing transparency, so you can view information on my pricing here.

Relevant Projects

Immola | 2024-2025

Senior XR Engineer | Meta Quest

At Immola I was a ‘one-person-studio’ responsible for product development on Kariboo, a social XR ad-supporting streaming service.

I was responsible for developing multiplayer features such as low-latency social streaming, room creation, and user permission rulesets. I led a complete overhaul of app UX leading, resulting in a 7x spike in monthly users and 75% reduction in churn.

CTRL+C

Creator | Spectacles

CTRL+C for Spectacles allows a user to circle any real-life object to ‘copy’ it and place it using integrated VPS systems. This allows users to find interesting and interactive objects throughout their world.

I developed the front-end ‘circle’ gesture using custom algebraic logic to determine closed-loop points and their viewport translations that cropped the Specs’ camera texture, and developed a back-end pipeline to take this texture, segment the main object’s bounding box using Gemini, and then recreate this object using MeshyAPI.

Snap Map

Creator | Spectacles

Snap Map is an AR navigation concept that details local events in your vicinity using a palm-based compass. Discover pop-up shops, social gatherings, yard sales, clothing swaps, and more. Selecting an event triggers real-time navigation to your destination, which can be projected on real roads using gestures.

This concept makes strong use of all location-based systems and data available on the Specs, including VPS monitoring and anchoring, gestural activation, and geo-located UI.

Inkphony

XR Engineer | Meta Quest

Inkphony is a music education app that won 2 First Place prizes at XRCC ’25. Using the Logitech MX Stylus, users engage in music theory principles by tapping a digital music staff to create music notes. Users can also extract a generated sound from any real-world object, which can then be used as an instrument during playback.

I built all the gameplay interactions, including notation creation, AI sound-board slots, staff extension, music playback, and more. My focus was to convey a specific feeling of ‘tangible fun’ to a topic like music theory, which, by its nature, is both difficult to visualize and feel.

BackTrack

Creator | Spectacles

BackTrack for Specs is a curated soundtrack for the streets. Users can generate a curated music playlist based on their real-time location. Spatially explore music from your social network, and drop your current music tracks for others to discover.

I used a variety of systems to make this work, including VPS, geo-anchoring, custom API integration for music curation, and GPS data. All these systems created an experience that traditional mobile phones can’t provide.

Loop Racer

Creator | Spectacles

Loop Racer is an AR arcade racing game about creating loops around dangerous spikes in your environment. This experience was an experiment in utilizing the pairing of a phone and the Spectacles in a way that differed from the norm (i.e., a pointer).

Loop Racer uses a variety of systems, including planar detection, phone gyroscope and touch controls, GPU particle emission, persistent data saving, and physics collisions.

Selli

Creator | Meta Quest

Selli is an AI-powered tool for MetaQuest that makes it easy to sell and purchase local second-hand goods. To sell items, users can circle an object and use Selli’s built-in assistant to estimate the object’s price, description, and condition.

Selli aims to bridge the gap in creating practical apps that add tangible value to a user’s daily life, aligning with my vision for a positive, XR-powered future.

LYNQ

XR Engineer | Spectacles

LYNQ won First Place at the Snap Spectacles Hack in 2025, and helps those who struggle to make connections or start conversations when networking in person. Users use the Snap Spectacles to interact with the digital versions of attendees before in-person events take place, creating familiarity and reducing networking anxiety.
